Ok, we have a wireless router, and it works, but when 3 laptops are using the internet, and someone is playing internet games on the ps3, the ps3 internet gets major lag.. Like when playing MW3, and when people are on the laptops, the game nearly becomes unplayable from the major lag. Sooooo.. What type of wireless router would be best to handle this type of usage.
The router isn’t your problem period. You need better internet service. End of story.
EDIT: You can also listen to some boob who tells you to buy a wireless “N” router when you have wireless “G” devices and waste your money because the wireless will default to wireless “G” lol.
An 802.11n router. Unfortunately the PS3 doesn’t support 802.11n, but maybe your laptops do.

Yes, could be. Or you could have a wireless card in your computer that isn’t setup. I would double check the laptop model you have and see if the stock list of parts includes a internal wireless card.
go to MY Computer, right click then scroll down to properties click and go to device manager,then network adapters, it will tell you if you have a built in card or not.
