hp pavillon dv6000
Get one that’s got a wireless assistant built into it so that it can just pick up connections around you without having to install antyhing. Otherwise you’re going to have to buy a whole bunch of crap in order to have internet access.
I have this laptop and it’s great:

Other than that, you should be set. If it’s new it should have the latest stuff so no need to update it.
first of all get firefox, and run windows update, other than that do whatever you want to do with it.
laptop coolers. My laptop is completely TOAST!!!
I have (did have) a 3 year old Toshiba laptop, it costed somewhere over $ 1000. How much would it cost to get another Toshiba thats just as good? Would it cost the same as the one I had? Or have the prices of laptops gone down since I bought it?
prices have greatly gone down.
You can pick up a laptop for about £250 now.

hope i helped…

Computer prices are always dropping, but new technology is appearing that is replacing the old technology. What is wrong with the laptop? Did you try to repair it and they said it was toast? Anyways… I believe you can buy a decent laptop that is Dual Core, 2 GB Ram, 160 GB HD for about $ 600 to $ 700 if you look at the right places. Also, most laptops are OEM (original equipment manufacturers), so I really do not believe brand does matter much. I would suggest a Acer, HP, Dell though.
